Valkyria Chronicles 22 - Fangirl RAEG!!

ALICIA!!! D:

I wanted to get this out on Saturday night, but I was redoing my computer and didn’t have screencapping capabilities. Now, they’re back… with a vengence! I compulsively capped throughout the entire episode… With good reason, too.

The episode opens, strangely enough, with some memories of the past…

Alicia then wakes up thinking that everything was a dream, but flashes of the battle remind her that it really happened. Meanwhile, Welkin tries to go see Alicia, but the assholes from the regular army won’t let him and even push Welkin! >:O He’s left to reflect on the top of the Edelweiss until Zaka goes to talk to him for a bit. After that, he goes off to see the confined Faldio.

Welkin was let into the tent Faldio was in with surprising ease, but of course, Faldio acts like a giant jackass with the whole spiel about them only being alive at that moment because of Alicia’s powers. And did I mention that this was a good episode for angry Welkin faces?

General Faggot Man Daman goes to see Alicia and tell her that she’s being trnasferred to the regular army and promoted. He even tells her that Welkin voiced his approval, but she doesn’t believe him (who would?) and charges out of the tent to find out herself. On another note, who the heck would wear one of those fugly uniforms anyway?

Squad Seven goes to Welkin sometime later and confronts him about Alicia. Then everyone starts voicing their doubts and insecurities. Before Welkin can say anything in Alicia’s defense…

Alicia tells everyone that she’s being transferred to the regular army and runs off in a Sanae-esque fashion. Of course, Welkin chases after her in a mirroring Akio-esque way. Rosie moves to follow, but Zaka stops her with a shake of his head. This is an AliciaxWelkin moment gone wrong after all.

Seriously… Welkin tries to tell Alicia that she’s one of Squad Seven’s important comrades and even reminds her that since she helped him with Isara’s death, he needs to help her through her hard time. Unfortunately, Alicia removes the headscarf, tells Welkin that she’s just a monster, and that the Alicia Melchiott that he knows is gone.

Right after that, Alicia walks away with tears in her eyes which ends the episode. The fangirl rage you ask? Well, look at this DORAMA. I’m all for doing whatever it takes to strengthen their relationship in the long run, but that doesn’t mean I won’t suffer in the process. It’s so sad to watch them having to part after they’ve come this far. It’s heartbreaking… for now.

The next episode looks it should be interesting as well. Squad Seven fighting against the regular army? HELL YEAH!
